NEVER apologize for saying what you feel because that's like saying "sorry for being real"

In Year 10 Religious Education, we were discussing abortion, which turned to the subject of rape.

Guy: Fathers have very little rights when it comes to abortion.
My friend: Personally, I'd only ever have an abortion if were a result of rape.
Me: The father's rights thing... it's a complicated issue. Unless you were raped. In that case, fuck him.
Girl 1: He's still the dad.
Me: Are you fucking kidding?
Guy 2: It's true though.
Guy 1: If she didn't wanna get raped she shouldn't have dressed like a slut.
Girl 1: Exactly! If she dressed modestly...
Usually one of the quietest girls in the class: Then what? My aunt was raped. She was wearing a burka. Or is that not modest enough for you?
*SILENCE*
I will never forget that moment, because it shut everyone up and challenged rape culture and people's ideas of rape in less than a minute.
I'm so glad she spoke up in class that day.
